Used to but now do it every now and then. Only really asked if they are really in the s**t and the regulars spit their dummies out or not in. Got like a side hustle now so not even worth it I reckon, especially the great overtime rate that was negotiated years ago :cuppa New Management were just will stingy with it didn't even want to pay 30 minutes and saying worker X was doing it in this time. So when came to bringing bags back after trying to ring them three times, they flipped next day 🤷 Recent absorption to walk has completely wiped me out (it's that busy), so wouldn't even do extended again now.

I work four days, Tuesday and Wednesday off. Sometimes I extend but never on a Saturday. I also do SA on Monday and Friday. I occasionally work my day(s) off, but enjoy having three days off generally as in this job you need rest time. I know some guys who work seven days every week-don’t know his they do it.
U work four days ??? Wat kind of contract r u on mate ?

I never heard of 4 working days in royal mail lol.
Royal Mail workers usually work Monday - Saturday with 1 rotating day off
Four day rota, to cover 4 duties when the duty holders have their day off. 30 hours a week, suits me.

Youve never heard of the 9 day fortnight? 5 days one week 4 the next, with a 4 day long weekend every 4th week and Wednesday+Thursday off every 4th week.

I'm 30 hours
Do full timers morning hours
And do my days off Tuesday to Friday, but keep long weekends to myself
Yep, I'm the same, always take my long weekend off and do prep on OT in the morning. Never do any OT after work though!

No real difference, hours wise, than working 6:30am to 17:30pm, which is the norm in my DO if you do the pm collection or LATs duties?

Depending on the DO or MC & your manager/dom there is all sorts of attendance patterns to fit your contracted hours. I believe there used to be a couple of 24 hour contracts at my DO that are 4 day, but I believe they are set days that never change barring some agreement with manager ie you're off every Monday & Tuesday but work every Wed, Thurs, Fri & Saturday or something to that sort of effect anyway.

You need to have an eleven hour break between shifts
