Well I clearly am speaking for myself hence the reason I said " I " couldn't care less.
But you said "we" continue to fight.
Who is we then if you are just talking for yourself?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

38 years! You’ve outstayed your welcome. Time to go! You sound desperate now.
Ditto, leave now with the rest of the self serving PEC ,
And then what?
We continue to fight or the company folds, the jobs headed towards minimum wage as it is so I couldn't care less if it folds.
Speak for yourself but i am sure bar a few on here nobody wants the company to fold.
Well I clearly am speaking for myself hence the reason I said " I " couldn't care less.
You also said we continue fight or the company folds. like i said bar a few on here nobody wants that.120,000 jobs gone.
I don't want to see the company fold either, far from it but I'm prepared to fight for what's right and if that results in the company folding then so be it, I'm sure there majority think otherwise but that's their choice but I'm not alone in wanting to put up a fight.

I am sure there were some who thought the Charge of the Light Brigade was a good idea.
Very high casualties. No decisive gains.
Let's go!

Like I said, each to their own. Would rather go down fighting, at the end of the 2 years they'll be back for more so we're just postponing the inevitable if this deal gets through. The union bigwigs will continue to feed at the trough until it's dry..

BTW off topic but the charge of the light brigade was an unintendedl consequence of a miscommunication from a commanding officer.

Not anti union at all, been a member over 30 years but I don't suffer fools gladly (PEC) and I'm not a union fanboi who swallows the snake oil they are selling.

The fact is this whole business public service have been asset stripped for their mates in the city and themselves and we are left with f**k all as these clowns say it's our business to run or ruin and can we expect a big wad of cash for this NO they gave it all away. Well this deserves investigations into these people who RUN this Business and a full and frank explanation by the UK Government of why these people were not vetted for the accountability for their actions. As to the PEC they were not informed and did not pay attention to the reports up and down the land of high handed management and its tactics and found out the hard way of being neglectful of those who elected them all!

You are not anti union but you refer to them as pigs with their snouts in the trough.
You have provided no alternatives to the PEC and their recommendations.
You can't say who is going to lead this fight you want to continue.
You don't seem particularly bothered at the consequences for 120 000 workers.

What are you lot going to do when this deal is endorsed by the members?
Start crying "fix" like Trump?

Since when were the PEC Union? The members are the Union and as for who leads the fight, what fight? They have surrendered and thrown the members under the bus at the first threat to their paid release and Union subs. But like I said I'm a union member not a union fanboi like some on here who blindly follow Ward and his cronies.
As to what will I do I'm already looking for the exit like many others as I can see where we are headed.

What is interesting is that the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) put a pay deal to their members and they threw it back at the union.

The nurses who the RCN represent are now on a 28 hour strike which the RCN fully supports their members' choice of continuing strike action.

Redlen that is what unions do. They can to a point where they the negotiators believe that they have reached the end of the road in terms of the negotiations and then put that to the elected Postal Executive in line with the unions rule book.

If the PE agree It then the membership will decide if they support it in an individual member ballot.

Consultation takes place to explain the agreement and details behind each headline and the potential consequences if a no vote but the vote is up to the 114 thousand CWU members.

Additionally if it turns out a no vote then we will have to play this out on the basis are Royal Mail prepared for further negotiations and if not whether the membership is up for further strike action to get movement.

unfortunately, don't see enough people striking if this is the sort of result. Heard a fair few say they won't lose more money. It's not looking good. So as bad as the deal is, I hope there's a yes vote. The union blindly promised too much and that's why there's all this negativity.

Listening to members at the office i work if there is a no vote they are not prepared to lose more money it is as simple as that if the job gets too much they will find employment else where.
