Re: PEC
The Union were told by RM they could look at the companies books long before they actually bothered to.They fail to mention this. They have now recommend a deal that lessens our ts and cs in exchange for a poor pay rise. But dont worry guys, "we are still in the room." Fact is the union are the nodding dogs in the corner. Royal Mail have everything they wanted from this "agreement." They are still going to bring in exactly what they want, just as they have been doing. The PEC havent had their terms eroded.RM managers have been well rewarded.Just chuck the peasents walking the streets a few scraps and we can get our finances back in to profit at their expense. Our area rep has said he will not endorse this terrible deal he has been told to sell. Its a NO from me, because this surrender sees the union all but redundant anyway.

People in my office are bitter because after losing around £1000 each they have basically got a deal that’s a pay cut.Edward Hunter wrote: ↑29 Apr 2023, 22:14The Union were told by RM they could look at the companies books long before they actually bothered to.They fail to mention this. They have now recommend a deal that lessens our ts and cs in exchange for a poor pay rise. what was the point of the strikes when RM got most of what it wanted anyway. Our Rep has now resigned and I can’t see anyone doing the job after this deal.

What are you talking about? No they aren't. We are the union, why would we want to lessen our influence in the workplace?

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

We continue to fight or the company folds, the jobs headed towards minimum wage as it is so I couldn't care less if it folds.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑30 Apr 2023, 13:25And then what?chocolatesaltyballs wrote: ↑30 Apr 2023, 13:23Ditto, leave now with the rest of the self serving PEC ,barrychuckle wrote: ↑28 Apr 2023, 21:3838 years! You have just called for all your negotiators to resign.
How are you going to fight without any representatives?
You might not care but you have no responsibility for 120 000 workers do you?

They clearly are no longer representing a sizable section of the membership me included. So no, they don't represent us and we need a change at the top.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑30 Apr 2023, 13:34But who is we?chocolatesaltyballs wrote: ↑30 Apr 2023, 13:29

Re: PEC
They were elected to their positions.
When are the next elections? Who are you advocating we vote for to replace them?
As to whether they represent the members or not - we will find out when the ballot result is announced.
You might be disappointed.
