To be honest I don't think they have ever been able to negotiate effectively each single deal we give up more than we get in return and always for less than inflation pay rises to be fair this time they had little chance because Royal Mail were willing to throw Xmas under the bus to get the changes through they wanted. You cannot negotiate with someone not willing to budge an inch from "Their vision of the future"

The union had little chance because they got their game plan wrong at the start.
From the first ballot for a no strings pay deal to cancelling the rolling strikes and messing up the last strike, they have been woefully inept at times.

For a union that rakes in £29 million annually from our subs it's a bit surprising that it doesn't have that much of a strike fund. I guess most of that money goes on the CWU organisational structure and it might need reviewing if a lot of members pull their subs if and when this crap deal gets voted in. How much will the union spend on meetings and advertising to try and sell this vote to its members? Wasted money imho
