Talked to my rep this morning. We all hate the deal. But their is no other deal coming.

Sorry I'm voting yes.

Voting no will not get a better deal, it'll be a worse deal plus strikes if any deal at all or the same deal slightly worse.

Instead I'm silently quiting. Walking slower. Pretending to be dumb. Uninterested. It's just clock in clock out now.

If you vote yes you are giving in to bullies and they will be back to bully you again and again ,

Bullies only leave you alone if you fight back .

VOTE NO .

How do you know there won't be a better deal?

RM have just conditioned you to think that. Take a look at the share price it's the highest it's been in 6 months. This talk of the company going into administration and there being no money is all one big bluff.

Precisely. RM will attack again. Maybe they'll take back all paid breaks next time. Or abolish sick pay altogether.

Anything that makes them and the investors more money they will do.

Agreeing to this deal now would be a massive loss to the strength of the union.

It’s obvious that the Union do NOT have our ‘best interests’ at heart.
They are far more concerned with keeping their overpaid boys club running.
Doing f all all year and getting paid stupid wages … then when the time actually comes… they couldn’t do anything … more interested in their own self-preservation.

The whole RM has no money thing is also a lie to get people to agree and vote yes.
Do you think if you vote yes that is the end of it?
Within a matter of months they will be back for more, until all your T&Cs are completely gone

He’s supporting his union and voting for their recommended YES option.
A few weeks ago anyone who disagreed with the union you quickly threw under the bus…. Now anyone who agrees with them are being thrown under the bus.
Just accept that people have different priorities and views.

I'm sorry but I just can't get over all the "RM said this or that" crud.

The ONLY question you need to ask is...have this company been known to be economical with the truth?

We all know the answer to this. I'm not for one second saying the company isn't in the sh*te, but come on!

Believe them if you wish but be prepared for the consequences.

Agreed, it is massively uncertain what happens if we vote NO. Surely though, everyone knows what's coming if we vote YES. This is only the beginning. Our t&cs will be eroding each and every year. However, the board and management salaries will be incrementally increased. You only have to look at how they reward themselves for their failures.

This mess is their fault, not yours, so don't be conned into thinking that it's you that has to pay for it. Hold them to account. They are employees of this company just like you and me.

Where, I ask, is the erosion of their pay and t&cs?

Exactly , What sacrifices are managers making in there terms and conditioners if any ,

Managers will probably get a bonus if we vote yes .

You just hate anyone who disagrees with Royal Mail.
You just back Royal Mail at every opportunity.
Glad that’s been cleared up.

Please can I see your plan of action rather than just ranting and raving at anybody who disagrees with you? What would be your tactics, would you announce more strikes, would you be prepared to lead the union? Put up or shut up.

Sounds like the rain is your biggest gripe there!
I've been finishing like many of my colleagues who go over in the run up to Christmas, at 5.30-6pm for a few yrs now. Helps if you're on a familiar round granted. Just need a good rechargeable head torch ( which you can use in your daily life too) and it's like daylight delivering.
Are you going to write a summer time scenario too where you finish earlier than normal and less time in the sun? Just to balance it out.
Just saying.
I don't know why but I have visions of a postie wearing a headband, shorts and in a short sleeve shirt in the pissin rain with your guns out. :chuckle No offence.. I know it's just your username

There wasn't that many colleagues that I know that were finishing at 5.30pm last Xmas. Most of them were agency workers and LAT staff.
:Applause :nana don't push me.
Obviously not last xmas, we were on strike or quiet quitting.

I don’t hate anyone. I’m not suggesting people are ‘dumb’ for voting one way or another.
Just funny how all the “stand by your union” banners are now in the bin.
And iv said I think the deal is pretty bad. I want ST to go but only if the next guy is an improvement and not just another puppet.

What is happening now I actually think a lot of posties could see was coming. They weren’t going to budge. Not much anyway.

But now members are turning on other members and I don’t think that’s healthy.
