Anybody thinking this will be a majority yes vote is not reading the room!

Forgot the poll on here if you want, ignore it but you just ask your office and it will echo that poll and then some.

It's time to stand up, we are the Union and we'll decide if this is the deal for us.

I am confident in saying it will be voted out.
Asking people in one delivery office is even less scientific than the poll here. You realise there are thousands across the country, with people with different considerations working in them?
Yes I realise there is thousands of offices across the country, it will be a No vote time will tell I suppose.

I think that the company will impose the deal anyway minus the £500 and after say a year they could begin imposing further changes, the union would be so weakened that they will be unable to do much about it.

What do No voters expect to happen? say the union leadership resign en masse, do the No voters have a credible plan to take the control of the union themselves and then organise another ballot?
I believe they can only impose some of the things they want, as some of it including sick pay are contractual, but they could impose anything they want on new starters. If I were cynical I could say the Union are selling out its existing members just so they can protect future subs of future members.
All new starters are on £11:59 per hour paid monthly with no delivery supplement or any other allowances. They have been on these contractor 6 months now. Why the f**k would any new start join a u job that's three them under a bus, with compulsory Sunday's with no Sunday premium. The cwu will be gone very soon. Dave ward and co need to eff off.

Whilst I don't agree with a two tier workforce I'm sure Royal Mail will struggle to attract employees but that's their problem.

If there are 100 in a delivery office it is somewhat representative. Of course only 30 then no.

The poll on here is meaningless, a vocal minority of extremists on here would see their own colleagues bankrupt and homeless rather than accept this deal.
Meanwhile in the real world the majority of our colleagues are far more reasonable and pragmatic.

Far more gullible if it gets voted in

Whenever Milly joins a thread the quality of debate drops drastically - literally the points on here are saying "forget the poll"

In my opinion none. You posted a thoughtful, pragmatic view which needs to debated. In the end do you vote for how this deal affects you or the principles of a vocal few who in my opinion refuse to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation. They don't put forward any alternative plan and genuinely seem to think RM will return to the negotiating table. In my opinion there is no chance of that. RM will withdraw the offer and impose as many of the proposed changes as they can. The CWU would have nothing to bargain with because the members have totally undermined it's authority.

The changes are happening with a yes or no vote the only difference will be more strikes and an imposed 2% pay rise this time there will be a lot employees crossing a picket line do people think the union can go back to royal mail and get a better deal no chance, we have a choice in my opinion accept the deal or strike until royal mail put parts of the business into administration, i think it is a terrible deal but i will vote yes sorry guys i believe this is the best we are going to get the union has given me 12 months to decide if the new start and finish times fit into my lifestyle if not i leave as for the increased work load their is nobody beating with a stick making me go any quicker we were told on saturday for the first time deliver your lapsing first bring back some of your own walk if you run out of time no problem, what is the big deal.

No, because certain offices are more militant than others. People are guided by the people around them and influenced to vote based on this. You cannot say, ‘well I asked a few people and they all said they are voting no’ and apply that blanket statement to over 100,000 people.

What people say and what they do, are very different in reality.
