ST said if we go on strike the next deal will be worse. Everyone thought he was bluffing. He knew if he could get past Christmas the union would have little leverage.

The worst thing about it now is how he union are trying to claim it’s a good deal. If they come out and said “look, it’s crap, but we can’t get anymore”’ I think it would possibly sit better.

After all their posturing they are all of a sudden walking around with their tail between their legs.

I said before (which didn’t go do well) that in my opinion this is the weakest union iv known in my 20 years here and it just so happens to coincide with a time when you needed them at their strongest.

With it going to later finishing times ie 16:30, if you have children to pick up from school or grandchildren, would it be better to start looking for another job. Also if you are in your 50s or 60s and cannot go as quick as expected, will you then get coaching and if you still can't go as quick as expected will you be sacked. 40 year's in the job, now very worried.

It’s not just the CWU who are weaker it’s across most unions. Just look at the teachers unions they barely got enough turnout to even get over the legal threshold hold. My wife’s union only got a 42% turnout meaning most couldn’t even be bothered to vote.

In reality we aren’t a united workforce to many want to just look after themselves.

Exactly, members think by voting yes they restore balance and order, but RM will just pull out the poverty card again in 2025 and possibly even resort to compulsory redundancies then.

Fight now and we might actually walk away with something worth having.

We would be crucified if we go out on strike again.
Look what happened to the Miners, out on strike for over a year, forced back defeated under Scargill with no coal mines to go back too.Strikes should be the last port of call for any union and
its membership. If we had better union leadership we could have settled this dispute within weeks of it starting.

the more i read the more it seems like royal mail were being straight with us and the union leading members to fairytale land
