The "performance management" bit is the worst of it for me.

Your PDA being used to monitor you so managers can harass you for walking too slow, going off -route, stopping at a doorstep for too long, falling behind "schedule".

It's intolerable, and I have no idea how the CWU give it the OK.

The £1500 might have soften the blow a bit for a lot of people but still was s**t. Then, you have to ask yourself what the hell were they talking about for one to two weeks if the agreement is almost the exact same as the one they first rejected??? Don't know what CWU's play is here or maybe they've just given up and are just happy they are no longer getting pushed out of the workplace. But, will never ever strike under their banner again. Will just look elsewhere for a job that appreciates the hard work. What a complete shambles of a company and a union.
I’ve thought that the CWU where being played from the beginning but even I expected a better deal than this.
I can’t help thinking that RM have something over the CWU and that brings me back to the unlawful strike of late December.
RM’s options where that they could dismiss all those who took part but that would of left them with virtually no staff. Another option was to sue the CWU for losses.
I know that it’s a little far fetched but I also couldn’t imagine RM just letting this go without some form of action.

Yes but there will undoubtedly be "performance management" conversations and a new improved NCI procedure,.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

If you leave the union now, you WON'T get to vote on the deal.
Very good point. This needs to be a sticky.

Then when you're too slow because you've gone to work sick thanks to the new attendance standards, you get hauled into the office for a PDA "performance management" conversation with your manager

So I get to work 60/90 mins later so I can’t pick up my kids, work alongside new staff on inferior terms than me and will be “performance managed” under some vague future agreement using my pda to track me. And I’ll get a whopping 3.3% per year when inflation this year is over 10%. Quick Mr Ward hand me the pen where do I sign?!

In all seriousness it’s a big NO from me and Ward and his gang of clowns all need replaced over the next few months. What an absolutely disgusting kick in the teeth deal that is. Everyone involved in negotiating it should hang their heads in complete shame.
I’m now 50/50 on being a union member going forward, I just can’t financially support these corrupt idiots anymore.

Nothing about this seems to sit well. It seems to be that there are gains on every part of the deal for RM and erosion of everything we have worked for as Posties.

Will be voting NO, with the reduction in indoor work means more walking, annualised hours means more walking ,basically the posties again will take the brunt of the work ,bullying and harassment that was supposed to be stamped out on the last 2 agreements as for the pay rise its an absolute disgrace the cwu should be ashamed putting that forward to us as if its a win when we wanted an inflation pay rise for one year and before anyone says royal mail are skint they have the cheek to call it the business recovery after they nicked all the money,Royal Mail and the cwu are truly taking the piss out of us.

Thanks for striking everyone. Youve got a good outcome.
At least we all still have jobs and a bit of a increase in wages and only a start time an hour later.
