Bloody hell I knew it would be a bad deal but it’s actually even worse than I thought it was going to be

I like how they worded the new sick pay policy. There's no SSP for first 3 days, first few days after first occasion will be on no pay! It'll be fun at Christmas, all the bugs going will be in the office! There's no more requirement for pre 7am starts so start times will be pushed back next round of negotiations also!

Is the profit sharing linked to the whole group or just royal mail? Because royalmail isn't making anyprofits!

Not forgetting Aldi. Almost £13 an hour nowSplappy_McSplap wrote: ↑21 Apr 2023, 11:5810% over 3 years is a 3.33% pay rise.
Inflation over the last 12 months was over 10%.
This amounts to a pay cut.
Tesco got 7% and Asda gave their staff 10%.
Barristers got 15%.
We are being offered 3.33%.
My mortgage will be going up once my deal ends by almost 4 times what this payrise will bring in extra every month. That won't even begin to touch the increased price of food, or petrol, or electricity.
It is going to be a no from me.

I remember getting a lump sum in June before they gave us the pay rise.

Job security ONLY until April 2025
Meanwhile, they have agreed to work on an agreement on other elements of the deal in the near future. This is a very loose agreement and is wide open for RM to exploit its workforce

Re: The deal : Business Recovery, Transformation and Growth Agreement
Why on earth has the Union agreed to £500 lump sum when they were offered the option of £1500 with the same 8% pay rise over 2yrs? Are they bloody thick or what? They sound it and are now showing it!!
