Re: CWU: " there will be no shortage of fully detailed communications next week"
You’ll be voting on it shortly or we’ll be voting on it shortly?
I’ve waited a year for this or we’ve waited a year for this?
Are you and I not the same?
Anyway,
I don’t recall melting down, I commented on the post that implied all the questioning of the CWU was done by paid accounts and the one where you called those same people wet wipes for having an alternative view. A view people are fully entitled to have and are justified in having.
As we’re in this thread let’s keep it relevant, Do you think it’s ok then that there hasn’t been a single communication from the CWU ( I use the name instead of “the union” as I’m part of the union and we are the union, not the CWU, another thing they forget) for 6 days?

If the Union were in charge, the whole place will fall apart within a short period of time: bullying will be rife, nepotism, favouritism, non communication (even worse than managers and RM), all sort of shenanigans and fraud (a la SNP). And they will run out of money very quickly
Signed: company-man...
* Some of us had seen through them right from the off. Just let us have the money and then go away, CWU!

I’ve said before I don’t think the communication has been anywhere near good enough but I also think that every update along the way has been met with derision and ridicule, especially on this forum because it’s usually not been the information people want to hear like talks continue etc.My point is we’ve waited a long time and are literally a few days away from seeing and voting on this agreement, the hysteria now is pointless.smartin1982 wrote: ↑21 Apr 2023, 08:44You’ll be voting on it shortly or we’ll be voting on it shortly?

I'm done with them. The reps walk round like they own the place.....n don't want to know half the time. In it for themselves. They are like coppers....self important attention seekers...bullied at school.
Done with them
I have had many a good rep and the odd one that maybe wasn't suited to the role.
What I do know is it must be a big headache for little extra reward.
Why do you think we have the best terms and conditions in the delivery service industry right now. It's not because Royal Mail bosses appreciate our conscientious attitude.
Maybe this is your experience, but it isn't the case for many.
I know colleagues who jobs have been literally saved by skilled reps who care about their members rights.
Little more retrospect maybe

Re read your original post then tell me how anyone would have come to that conclusion. You’re in a new thread calling people wet wipes in your first post.
Now You’re backtracking. Nor have you answered any of my questions.
Again, anyway. Not every post has been ridiculed, you have a short memory, look back to the start of all this and see the support . Then watch it slowly wane as the handling of the dispute gets steadily worse. We’re at a point now where it’s that bad it’s almost like being trolled. People aren’t stupid and can Only tolerate so much.

I’ve been posting on here for years and have said it on numerous occasions , if you want to get your knickers in a twist on a Friday morning, crack on my friend.smartin1982 wrote: ↑21 Apr 2023, 09:06You didn’t make that point though, did you?chickenwittle wrote: ↑21 Apr 2023, 08:53I’ve said before I don’t think the communication has been anywhere near good enough but I also think that every update along the way has been met with derision and ridicule, especially on this forum because it’s usually not been the information people want to hear like talks continue etc.My point is we’ve waited a long time and are literally a few days away from seeing and voting on this agreement, the hysteria now is pointless.smartin1982 wrote: ↑21 Apr 2023, 08:44You’ll be voting on it shortly or we’ll be voting on it shortly?

Re: CWU: " there will be no shortage of fully detailed communications next week"
So I’m supposed to read everything you’ve ever posted before commenting on a new thread?
You should probably learn how forums work, my friend.
And you’ve been saying the CWU aren’t performing well for years but those who are complaining now are wet wipes?
So complaining is ok when YOU think it’s been bad but now is pointless.
Gotcha
.

Ok so now putting words in my mouth, I said the communication hasn’t been great , not that the CWU haven’t been performing. The CWU are doing their best against a very aggressive employer, I’m ok with waiting to see the agreement and then voting on it , while your not , enjoy your weekend.smartin1982 wrote: ↑21 Apr 2023, 09:16So I’m supposed to read everything you’ve ever posted before commenting on a new thread?

It’s the same thing. Communication is part of their role.
Nb. I edited my post as you were responding.

People in position of power are often ridiculed; even when they are not as ridiculous as the CWU. What is so special about them?
They have been just as bad or worse than politicians; they only communicate when they want something...
They have also sent many mixed messages or just full of bluster and rhetoric... Win the ballot win the dispute...
There was never going to be any winning - we are not in a fight and it is not winner takes all... They are supposed to get the best they could for us through diplomacy and influence and they should have know when to stop and not put us more at a disadvantage...
Strike money lost especially after October was for nothing!

Re: CWU: " there will be no shortage of fully detailed communications next week"
The communicating of this "deal" is strange to say the least, it's never been this vague, secretive and prolonged.
My opinion is that the meeting in Bristol has been organised so that the union can "sell", with plenty of spin on it, the new deal to div reps as it is miles away from what the union first asked for a year ago - and miles away from what members want or are hoping for.

Well company-man. How many of these things are happening now under the current leadership of RM ?chrisj wrote: ↑21 Apr 2023, 08:49If the Union were in charge, the whole place will fall apart within a short period of time: bullying will be rife, nepotism, favouritism, non communication (even worse than managers and RM), all sort of shenanigans and fraud (a la SNP). Place falling apart ?
Bullying ?
Favouritism ?
Non communication ?
Running out of money ?
Perhaps you should cast your critical eye a little closer to the people that are actually running the company.
