Chuck in getting down to 35 hours by 2025 and I would probably vote yes, might even stay at RM if they did that.
Yes, there's too many ops on here that can only see the money and not the blood, toil, sweat and tears afterwards as a result of such an agreement.
A Shorter working week like the one that both the Labour party and the union were pushing for before the last general election. And why not? If Royal Mail say that they are hard up right now, they won't be once they make the huge savings on these superhubs and we all have monster rounds
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
Not sure any of the options are going to be worth all the changes that could be coming.
They are coming anyway. Might as well get paid for them.
Contrary to popular belief Royal Mail cannot force through the changes. Yes, they can make your duties bigger, and yes, they can alter your start and finish times.
But can they force everyone to do it without an agreement?? They answer is no they can't do it effectively. The company desperately need an agreement with the union or it's never going to work.

So we've agreed that the monetary value of both deals is the same. The only difference is whether you get the money upfront or not. To put the difference into context the difference between putting nett 1000 into savings v nett 333 is £40 over a year. On the flipside if you intend on working overtime you have a year at a greater rate.
Monetary value is not the same. End salary after 2 yrs is BUT the larger lump sum is £1000 better than the smaller.

You still never answered my question if managers now get docked pay for their second absence?
Why would I care about manager absence procedures?
In the context of the discussion that I originally asked the question
You cared enough about how much the company loses due to postal workers being off, does RM not lose money when managers are off or something? Do managers never go off sick at all? Are they docked pay when they are like you are happy for us to be?

If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

You do realise we get the 6% or 2% now don't you. Not April 2024 ?

Yup, one of them now and the other in Apr 24 whichever way around we choose. If it's the same deal as RM put out last week that is. either way, it's a 2 yr deal April 23-24 and Apr 24-april 25. After that who knows, probably be Apr 26 until it's sorted for 25 anyway lol.
My concern is any new starters, which was a red line.
If they allow that to continue, then that will be the Pandora's box end game
Hey up Filthy Len/Keith - have you had a good weekend?
Read anymore George Orwell?
Great to see you adding your two penneth with more important info
Anyone who says you’re a banter account needs their bumps feeling
You’re the most clued up poster on here
Had a great weekend thanks. Even better now a deal is close.
George Orwell? No. Not read him in a long time.
And thanks for you kind words. But it’s a good job you are in a union as I can tell by your constant attempts at goading and insults that you are a little bit simple and probably need the union rep to help you go to the toilet.
Filthy Len/Keith you replied via the wrong alias you fine, fellow
Don’t want people thinking you’re a sock puppet account that’s only here for the banter,do we?
Don’t worry - I don’t think anyone noticed
Looking forward to more top class important information as the day rolls on - have a good one Filthy Len/Keith
Keep paying those subs. You clearly need support.
Is that it,Filthy Len/Keith?
The best red hot info you’ve got?
You need to read more George Orwell, your lack of literature reading is effecting your sardonic responses
People will start to suspect you’re a multiple sock puppet account only here for the banter & we both know that isn’t true, don’t we Filthy Len/Keith
The info I have is that you have been shafted. Big time. And no amount of ‘witty’ stalking replies will help you feel better.
I’m guessing ‘Keith’ and ‘len’ are people you are obsessed with on here?
Best see if the union can help you. You seem deranged.
