Storm Coat - Which size to choose?

I'm ordering a new storm coat but can't find any info on their sizes, so I am unsure of which size to order.
It will be either S or M.
Any help would be appreciated.

Experience in my office says go UP a size.

I've always had a medium, so ordered a medium. Needed a large.

The smaller ladies who had to exchange up to medium were not happy

I had to go down a size as the new large polo shirt was like a tent on me

Go up a size but wear a proper waterproof layer under it as it will let water in after a while.

Whichever size you order it, won't be waterproof.

Are you a man or a woman? If you are a woman and go up a size, be aware that the uniform makers think this means you are a foot taller too and so the waist band will be halfway down your hips.

The coat has now changed to a new design. I wasn't aware of that until I ordered a new one. Ordered a medium as that's what I've always had and it was too small. Couldn't do it up over my medium fleece so had to change to a large. I'm a 42" chest in case you want to check

The new Hi-Viz vests are huge, ordered a medium and it was hanging off me, had to send it back and order a small.

Agree with the above, go up a size for the jackets and down a size (or two) for the high-viz vests. And the zips on the jackets are rubbish.
