The weekend is over

hate to repeat this but .... THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING !

didn't they say that this Thursday (tomorrow) was the final day for any talks (if they are even talking ?) .

and the changes are still happening , just been told that come September (THIS YEAR) we are losing 4 posties who are being shipped off to the local parcel hub and all large parcels will be lost ! (we are a small DO so god knows how many the larger ones will lose).

If we lost our large parcels we could just about complete on a quiet day

sorry mate it isn't that simple , they are splitting the 4 walks that are not covered and adding them the remaining walks and even thinking about removing other walks and adding them too !

Hahahaha apart from Bosley who on earth manages that now! Our office is walks left in/not touched/brought back every single day, absolutely shambolic.

The union need to call strikes, to have any chance of saving face.

I suspect instead they'll say something like in the interest of being democratic we have decided to put the deal to the vote, in the hope the members let them off the hook. Although will they not take a stance on the deal, by neither recommending it or not recommending it ...

But what are strikes really going to achieve apart from potentially encouraging IDS to put RM into Admin?

To focus their minds that the company is going nowhere without the workforce ,if it goes into admin so be it,id rather lose a s--t job than work under those t's and c's,no matter what we all think one thing is certain if the union don't act we are done for and they are done for its as simple as that.

Instead of taking the company down, why not let those of us willing to work under those conditions do so, while you find another job anyway? Such a bizarre attitude.

Simple answer to that put it to a vote,and if its accepted so be it ill take my lump sum and leave im easy with that.

There is a guy in my office who takes out two walks as he has no colleague anymore. Basically does 6-4 so 10 hour shift but that in itself shows you don’t need to pay the 14 or so that a part timer would increase it to.
So if they did a 4 day uso that would pretty much be his workload….
