Not great from mr ward again today. The weakest the union has ever been in a time when it’s members needed it the most.
Proper shafting.
I just hope they give the work force the vote on which deal to accept now. Can move on then.
A union is only as good as it's members. Are you a member of the CWU?
So it’s the members fault the union still haven’t gone on strike? Or closed any deal?
If the union was not full of reps that only look after themselves and their little crew maybe I would have joined. But bar one rep, in all my years, they have all been in it for themselves.

Well with that sweeping statement he has all the answers yet will not come forward and get this agreement we all need over the line with an agreement so I do take you still have a grudge or two? Lets be honest here we all need to work as one not us as a union but as a workforce one man is not island anymore!

I don’t have any grudges. I did have. Now it’s just not worth my time at all.
Most of the reps I know are like dodgy lawyers. Saul goodman type. The only exception was a decent chap who actually cared about everyone, not just his close mates.
I said from day one that I didn’t think we could win this dispute. The empty slogans like “solidarity”, “win the ballot win the dispute” and “this is the fight of our lives” just made me cringe. Like a political campaign when they say things like “the future is now!”
I think the one and two day strikes we had were pointless and the lack of communication and updates has been appalling. Even the members are now annoyed with their own union.
As far as I’m concerned I’ll go to work until the job no longer suits me.
