The CWU is us members. Not Dave Ward and Andy Furey. If we say we are solidly behind the CWU it's not any sort of confidence vote in the leadership of the union. They all smirked and blew it off when they cocked up the legality of the strike action TWICE last year, for me they've been all talk. The solidarity is between the members. I'd vote for a complete overhaul of the leadership.

What makes me laugh is the belief that they can get a deal by next week, when the company have left the negotiations and the threat of strikes isn't even credible any more.

They should have been much firmer with the strikes to begin with.

They clearly didn't have faith in the membership, when the resolve of the members has been the strongest thing throughout this dispute.
