Whatever the deal looks like,it will probably be voted in.
I believe most have just had enough and will take whatever the union put in front of them.
Be nice if they got told it's not good enough,but not enough would be willing to do so,
Which is a shame after everything we've been through.

What happens in that scenario? Does the union go back to the company and offer something else?
Problem is that a lot of posties want different things.
The only way would for the union to find out from its members what they want the most and then go back with that info.
Striking wouldn’t really be an option either so it would be state of limbo.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. It all depends on how the union recommends members vote. I can see them not making a recommendation then it’s down to us what we do.

If that’s the case then it’s a different ball game.

I can’t see the union not recommending any deal they’ve agreed though that would make them look pretty stupid.

As I said though most people will just look at pay offer a the union recommendation and it will be voted in. In the last ballot 25% couldn’t be bothered to vote and a vote on any deal would be a lower turnout.

That’s the point though there’s clearly no agreement or they wouldn’t still be locked away talking. At some point they will have to come back to us and say this is the best offer we could get, you guys and girls decide and we are not advising you what to do.

Look at all previous agreements over the last decade?

All have been pushed through with the Golden Carrot even though the agreements when looking at the finer details were lousy.

Look at the terms and conditions that were lost that has resulted in this latest dispute.

I would say you would be correct on this. People see the pay rise and not bother going into the details. I would say the majority of the workforce probably have no idea what’s going on.

I agree with you and everyone and the CWU we are the UNION lets see a deal in the trueness of time but we can shape that deal at the end of the day!
