Walk Pick Advertising Process

If I wanted to send a detailed query about the process RM deploys for advertising and allocating available walks, who would I send it to?

Is the process decided by the CWU, or managers, or between them?

I raised the subject of my query, (which I don’t want to get into here), with my manager but as I was speaking I realised that a line manager wouldn’t be able to do anything so, who is the person who could?

Anyone know?

If you mean in your office then presumably the top honcho com rather than the line manager.

We no longer have a head honcho, they are all the same level.

I mean how walks are advertised and allocated across all offices.

Ah sorry I've no idea then, as we know traditionally a vacant duty was advertised and the most senior applicant got it but that was too easy, these days reading comments on here especially regarding recent removal of duties it seems that's gone out of the window for example displaced senior posties getting choice of whatever crap duties are vacant rather than a full repick that should have been triggered.

Maybe if you give a bit more info, I see you don't want to go into full details, hopefully someone more knowledgeable can advise, hope you get it sorted.

Unless you've been displaced through any recent (unagreed may I add) revisions seniority decides but as I've just found out displacement over rules seniority which is total Bollo*** in my view.

Process is covered by wayforwad agreement.

The trouble is do any of us know what previous agreements still apply? Remember their whole mantra since the dispute started has been that it is their business to run as they see fit. They tore up the pathway to change agreement, they tore up the MTSF agreement in regards to VR terms and there is plenty of anecdotal evidence on this site that repicks are being denied in units where major change is happening because the business doesn’t want it.

Displaced staff get first pick on available duties then seniority takes over, just happened at our office and HR confirmed it ( even though duties holders are union based )

It really doesn't matter, just work your time and go steady job done.

So for stupid people like me, if I lost my walk due to it being removed I should pick first or be one of the first ones to pick then it goes on seniority?

Yes you should get priority on any vacant duties, presumably seniority applies if there's more than you that's been displaced.

There's 7 walks gone, not sure if any were vacant but let's say they weren't so how exactly should the repick be done? Those who lost walks should pick first but based on seniority, then the remaining walks just done on seniority?
