Later starts are kinda an unknown atm as there's a Network Review in the Autumn which could very well affect start and finish times for everyone

If the pay element of the deal isn't back dated to April last year, then it's a no from me! And it could still be a no from me, if the deal isn't a worthy reward for all the strikes we have done.

Whatever it is, I’m hoping enough of us have the nerve to say “No!”

The rep mentioned royal mail says it needs to borrow 1.8 billion just to survive.....so if that's got any truth in it we will be luck to get a decent rise

Whatever it is it'll be sold as the best deal "under the hard circumstances of the poor, poverty stricken company" and we'll be encouraged to vote for it as "the best we can get."
Then come November the shareholder money will get doled out and we can go "hang on a minute...."

Shouldn’t we wait afew more days and see what the negotiating team come back with?

I think whatever the final deal we get a vote on the CWU will probably go the same way as the RMT and not make a recommendation to members, time will tell.

I don't know if a backdated payrise is asking the for the world.
RM could chuck that in knowing probably the deal would be accept when people see £££ signs.

Three year pay deal including last year maybe back pay on some of last years rise only from Oct last year everything RM wanted they have got.
Have they? We a haven't switched to annualised hours with a commit to deliver clause yet, plus sick pay changes and much later starts. Plenty they want which hopefully they won't get because if they do what's happening now will feel like the good old days we all talk about

Cant see a back dated rise as there on the bones of there arse allegedly. more likely a 2 year deal worth around 10 percent with a 500 lump sum and a good few strings attached mainly reducing the workforce

I don't care. They can agree on what they want. The s**t is here to stay. Never worked for a worse employer. That was symbolised by the god awful, insulting, cheap lapel pin for 10 years service I got in 2021. Sent out in the blizzards today with a "use your dynamic risk assessment" soundbite from the DLM. The only good thing to come out of this whole s**t, awful mess is the men talk to each other in the morning breaks which more of us take now. That is it. :wave
Think yourself lucky u got a lapel pin this year they have cut it more,a guy in our office done 20 last week and got a card with congratulations on it,an utter disgrace, this company never fails to surprise me and take the piss,i never do anything for them nowadays .

Yep, I got a card after 20 years service that addressed me as dear colleague. Didn't even use my name.

Sounds like Royal Mail should be bought on the cheap by the government..... the company is worth bugga all thanks to Thompson and co's calamitous management.

All this talk of deals, the way they're running the business into the ground it's more likely the company goes into administration, gets bought out by VESA. Employees get the chance to take up their job on new contracts or face redundancy.
