It's a health and safety issue but people will not do as they are told or asked to. If some of these clowns used trolleys do you thing the walks would be as big or lapsing/absorption would happen?flimflamman wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 21:06Seemed to be a lot of photo's of delivery staff carrying a mailbag around their necks,I thought this was supposed to have been done away with years ago,

Re: COURIER
Why are the vans in the courier always new and shiny? And everyone seems to have new uniform.

Re: COURIER
As for restoring trust at the doorstep. How about restoring trust in the CEO first? Anyway, I thought he bleated on about us having trust at the doorstep?

Re: COURIER
A person from WCM asked me to do a recitation of a sad accident I refused and they and the manager donned uniforms and took the best van. All just to show their own plan of reducing accidents in the workplace and take pictures of it not happy but did not play any part in this

Only mail I've had in 3 weeks is the courier and a pizza leaflet. Straight in the bin.. if it wasn't for people buying crap they don't want with money they don't have I'd be out of work

Re: COURIER
In the 33 years I worked for RM I am proud to say I never once carried a mail bag on my shoulder. The bike and later the trolley took the weight! RM still f****d up my knees even so!k979aaa wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 21:12It's a health and safety issue but people will not do as they are told or asked to. I always read it,it tells you were the CEO still stands regardless of which ones in charge...the one phrase that really bugs the crap out of me is"we HAVE to change"thats all we've ever done since privatisation.

I don't bother with Courier because it just slides off and it doesn't flush anyway.

Re: COURIER
I kept putting a refused sticker on it and sent the Courior back
I got a letter from head office asking me if I wanted it stopped and said yes.
Not had one now for 2 years

Re: COURIER
I like how they put the argument forward about going to a 5 day letters service by listing what other countries are doing to reduce their postal service....
'Team - they are doing this and that so why aren't we'.
Well, the future is also a 4 day working week for 5 days pay..... so.... why don't we go down to a 4 day letter service for 5 days pay. Get owner-drivers to deliver the parcels on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and us posties will work Monday to Thursday delivering parcels alongside letters.
