Hi all. How long does it take from the optima health report and manager agreeing, then asking area manager(OPL) for IHR does the process take please? TIA.

Just read if you go ihr and are under 60 there is no reduction to your pension . Ie 5 per cent reduction as normal if you take it before 60. And your lump sum is not reduced either

the amount was not effected by the amount of sick pay i had recieved,i was paid in full as per the agreement.

was that 34 weeks pay plus 12 weeks P.I.L.O.N (payment in lieu of notice)? so 46 weeks pay in total?

yes that plus any outstanding leave.Lump sum of 34 weeks was tax free the rest is taxed.

why is it taxed.? i was under the impression that you got upto £30,000 tax free. i know the lads who have just received VR have got theirs tax free.

If they made you work the weeks covered by pay in lieu of notice, you would have to pay tax on your weekly wage.
