More than likely hear something at 7pm. Though, the silence is pretty telling.

Re: We understand...
We gave them the Yes Vote they asked for, it's not unreasonable to expect to know broadly what is going on is it, looks like the only negotiations are about how much lube the business are going to use on us.

Re: We understand...
I am surprised people are still looking forward to updates as you are expecting a positive resolution. You should either accept the job is gone to the wall or be ready to leave. After Xmas was out the way I knew it will be over sooner or later. RM as a company frankly is finished too.

Re: We understand...
The union have messed up, failed and have cost its members money and we all know how it will end. I slightly better pay increase, backdated and with all the changes brought in. Sundays will stay voluntary for a couple of years and then part of our contract and annualised hours was never going to happen, but flexi time will come back, but again only 30 mins.
Let’s be honest all the revisions are coming in regardless of what the Union say or do. Ours starts on Monday. Our Div has 17 walks and we are losing 5 walks, none of this will ever be rolled back.
Fun times ahead

You are probably more or less spot on and people will vote to accept it because all some people can see are £ signs.Richie24 wrote: ↑01 Mar 2023, 18:50The union have messed up, failed and have cost its members money and we all know how it will end. Re: We understand...
Must admit, this is piss poor from the CWU.
Don't say "Wednesday at the latest" if you're not gonna bother. Even if the update is just "talks continuing, nothing to report".

Re: We understand...
Anyone spinning this silence as anything positive needs to really re-read what the union has said in the past. "If there is anything new, we'll update you." Seems to be a pattern that members are honestly getting sick and tired of with both the union and the RM. Think union do not help themselves leaving themselves deadlines or even mentioning dates. End of the day it's postman's lives that are getting f****d over here, not them or senior management. Creates more anxiety and frustration in the workforce. Can't blame people for being pissed off considering what's been going on at work and been nearly a year now. Radio silence as ever.

Re: We understand...
We fully understand the need and demand for information on the negotiations with Royal Mail Group.
We have been dealing with the priority issues of unagreed revisions, executive action and conduct matters arising from the dispute. We have made progress in all of these areas.
We are meeting with the employer again tomorrow morning and hope to finalise a joint statement. This statement has been facilitated by former TUC General Secretary Sir Brendan Barber and ACAS.
We will definitely be communicating directly with members tomorrow.
These negotiations are complex and very serious. We thank you for your support and patience - it is making a huge difference.
