You would like to think so, didn't he say they would be talking over the weekend just gone too? pretty unusual that as they don't do weekends do they!

They need to hurry on up as our office today after more EA has descended into outright chaos and just stupidity

The EA makes no sense....

Do Royal Mail want the letters industry to collapse and someone to come in and take it off them? Why can't they just admit they want to offload letters and find a taker. There's no chance the government or an Ofcom fit for purpose would allow this executive action to happen - it's all being done to deliberately fail the USO even more drastically than it is currently.

"We have met with Royal Mail Group today. Negotiations are continuing. Our postal executive will meet tomorrow afternoon.

We understand how important it is to communicate directly with members and we will do everything possible to bring you an update as soon as we can. This will be Wednesday at the very latest."

Not sure if there's any significance in the postal exec meeting tomorrow, or whether it's just their weekly meeting?

The PEC were meeting tomorrow anyhow so it's not really here or there to how it's going.
The fact that they are negotiating still I think probably a + sign.

If an agreement has been drawn up today and the union confirm tomorrow that this is the best deal we can get.

Then my only concern is that the business has pushed everything so far that theres no turning back on with everything that they have implemented so we have to agree or not in my case depending on the outcome.

It was never about the money in this dispute it was terms and conditions being eroded in front of us and it's still happening on a weekly basis.

I agree and so does Ward going off his video the other day, you can't have meaningful talks when the workforce is getting shafted on a daily basis with EA and outstanding suspensions.

You can see the agreement being no future EA's rather than all EA's withdrawn.

I can't see why DW set a Monday deadline then decides to continue talks once it's passed.

All very odd, DW obviously knew loads of EA was scheduled for today hence why he wanted a agreement about EA sharpish, looks like that horse has bolted (again) unless these latest Mon EA screw ups can be reversed.
