I said there are no differences between the main Parties as they pretty much agree on everything, this isn't a controversial opinion.
No you said the problem is "people" believe there is a difference.
You obviously don't so what makes you special?

I think many people do see the main Parties as being pretty much the same, you don't have to be a great intellectual to see that.
As for being special I have never made such a claim but you must think I'm special if you keep referring to me as such.

Despite the "Labour and the Tories are the same" rhetoric, the past 13 years have seen NHS waiting lists go from 18 weeks to 18+ months, massive cuts to all public services, a huge transfer of capital, property and power into the hands of a few select rich people, and unprecedented attacks on the rights of the people.

Sure, Labour are much further right than I'd want, the Lib Dems are a confused mess and the greens have big ideas without having anyone with the knowledge to implement them... But the Tories are all 3 of those things

Well the fact is it is Labour or Conservative don't like Sir Kier but without out a shadow of a dobut will vote Labour because they have a policy in the manifesto of repealing the anti trade union laws just imposed by the conservatives and that is reason enough!

One things for sure whoever you vote for the government always gets in.

And the government will move us towards Agenda 2030, without the average voter having even heard of it.

Probably faster with Labour.

So your choice is you wanna go fast or faster.

But will they actually implement that policy if they are elected?

Labour also have manifesto commitments to renationalise Royal Mail, water, energy and railways, but will they also carry those out?

Not in this lifetime. Just hangovers from the days of C*rbyn.
Do any voters ever really believe this sort of tripe will ever happen, especially given the shortage of spare govt cash for the foreseeable future.
Thinking that they'll vote for Starmer because he'll "repeal the union laws" is just whimsy too. Starmer won't, and average voter couldn't care less anyway.

I have noticed that it is quite common for Politicians to say what people want to hear before an election then ignore them when they get into power.
I agree it's extremely unlikely that Starmer will repeal any anti-union laws.

The irony is the best way to control a population is not through repression but by promoting apathy.

The best way to promote apathy is to push the narrative that all choices are pointless because the result is always the same.

The best way to corrupt a democratic vote is to convince the majority not to bother voting at all.

So heading down the rabbit hole are all these conspiracy theories about "15 minute cities" and a cabal of unseen billionaires actually pulling the strings just one big conspiracy theory to put people off engaging in the democratic process?

Are you being played Milly?

What's happening in Oxford if 15 minute Cities are a conspiracy theory?
I wasn't aware there is an unseen Cabal of Billionaires that exert influence on Corporations and Politicians, they seem pretty upfront about it.
In fact the Gates Foundation and the WEF have websites that tell you what there aims are, it's no secret.

I think Proportional Representation (PR) is the obvious way to go. :thumbup

Unfortunately the Parties that are in power would need to introduce it ... and since it would likely kick them out of power ...... they're not going to do it! Catch 22 ! :cuppa
