Just recognise a troll when you see one....it really is that simple. I will not be engaging any further.

With siso being in place nobody knows when anyone finishes anymore as there's no sheet with the times on.Personally I'm glad as it used to piss me off seeing people finish ages before me,now I couldn't care less as I have no idea when anyone finished so as long as I'm near my time and I took my break I'm not worried about anyone else.

I think the same when I hear people say their walks are too big and they can’t complete even on a quiet day.

Maybe they are all liars.

Slow. Entitled. Liars.

Who knows.

It doesn't matter if you're walks not big enough anymore or your fast or slow, you get triple lapsing it's literally impossible to finish early 10 mins maybe if it's stupid light.

As we all know RM employ people to troll about this site to keep them informed of any information they would be interested in. I am not accusing anyone of being said troll i am just pointing it out. As for the whole finishing early crud, i find it hard to believe there is still a duty out there which can finish early, the office snitch would have squealed to the manager and something would have been done about it, maybe i am wrong but i question why anyone would come on here and say something like that if they are posties, surely you aren't that embittered to squeal like a child about it. I work in a small office, formally 8 duties but now down to 7, the office snitch let the manager know, when he was talking about taking a duty out, that a duty, although having the most houses on it, was able to be completed by everybody but the duty holder comfortably on time and said duty was removed. Never mind the only person using the correct tools to deliver said duty was the duty holder, i am not the duty holder by the way, the rest of us were all aware of this but seeing as how he never finished early why would you complain. What royal mail want in terms of bigger delivery spans and working until time you are paid for are all acceptable to me but this also smacks in the face of everything else they want and already have, the "Trust on the doorstep" bull will go flying out the window the more you pile onto us as you cannot spend the time required that earned that trust in the first place, common sense says the older you get the slower you get and although its only marginal it becomes significant as the years roll on so "Slow.Entitled. Liars." is a bit rich. All you self servers who come on here to tow your own line should start your own forum and call it the "I'm all right Jack" forum and you can compare notes.

Let the truth set you free... We cannot blame managers and managers for every ill associated with our jobs... We know what is happening and the management knows what is happening - and you will be surprised that it is usually not the junior staff or overworked that tells management.

Banters are normal but some people banter or otherwise inform management so loudly and in front of management... Briefing time is another time when the do called loud mouth senior try to impose themselves and defend their entitled status... Anything reasonable to make the jobs fairer is slapped down in front of everyone and management.

There is more bullying going on between staff than management to most staff in my experience.

So, please stop claiming we are all adults and every postie is innocent and all managers and management are bad.

Furthermore, some of the managers are ex Posties, they know how things are; why come on these forum to try and pretend and claim that we are playing into management's hand.

PDA actuals are a distraction to our dispute! Revisions have come in and it is strange how after a few weeks, most days are complete even with 45 minutes added... Yet, the revision is still not fair because they did not use PDA actuals or involve the Reps. Go figure how low the volumes are right now!

Again Chris you blame everybody but Royal Fail for any problems, you obviously have a bugbear with the older more senior posties and are finding a avenue to vent your anger, good for you, all the problems stem from the business deciding to go after the union and us members. You do realise that we are also entitled to have one of those union thingys or is that a problem too. Anywho that is where it began and is probably where it will all have to be reversed to, your continual rhetoric about lightness of mail and walks being done on time after revisions sounds a bit like something you dreamt last night because if that is true then they need to add more onto your duty to keep you out past your finishing time as that is what they want. Got hit with a run of vodafone on wednesday and housing executive yesterday so not sure if thats classed as light or not but that doesnt really matter, as i have said already the idea seems to be to hammer you everyday and try to get you to complete everyday regardless of time. O/T is not compulsory and as long as that remains the case i wont be working it, my decision just like everything you say is your decision, and when it does become compulsory you and your like can work until the boss tells you to, i on the other hand will be retired and what was once a great company with standards will be as dead as a dead thing from deadvile. You would be better getting a job elsewhere as you obviously dont like the people you work with although perhaps it wouldnt matter where you worked the "wind would always be in your face" a great old seadog saying and very apt.

You are right blueshirt, its just hard to read posts from people who's opinions are so wrong you just think that cant be right, must be a company spy, must be a troll, but at the end of the day we are all human beings and if you look around you there's plenty just like these people outside. So probably not any of the above just a couple of Richard heads who will get reap what they sow and then blame the rest of the world for their problems.

The SNP MP even managed to rope in Telemetry in vans with PDA monitoring... Folks just having a winge about anything - is idling of the van a good thing?

Ricky quickly slapped down the idea that folks might be hauled into the office to explain and/or disciplined why engine was running in very cold snaps... I agree we have some nasty and unreasonable managers but that sort of enquiry will get them nowhere fast; such managers tend to pick on weak ones anyway.

PDA actuals and Posties going slowly following SISO and low volumes was something that a manager was complaining about to Simon and the 'TEAM' on Workplace a while back... I wondered what advice he got from other contributors or the big man himself?

I remembered him being slagged off for being a minion and a snitch and unable to manage by our people. I wondered if he was the same that put up the poster about PDA actuals and not getting caught - 😅

I see couriers in private vehicles with engine running while delivering, and I am thinking, mate, that is part of your cost/expenses for the day.

I turn off my own cars very quickly these days...

PDA and telemetry in vehicles are just a normal thing in any transport and delivery industry - certainly not Orwellian at Royal Mail

I’m suggesting people are lying when they say they have unmanageable walks because I get accused of lying when I say people still finish early in my office.
It’s not an opinion it’s fact.
A lot of these people are senior but some aren’t that high up the ladder.
If that makes me a spy or a troll then that’s your denial resulting in easy insults.

Like you said though overtime isn’t compulsory so work to your time. If posties don’t have a backbone to say no they need more than the CWU in their life. They need a 24/7 Samaritan service. Apparently 1 in 12 of our work force is off sick any pretty much anytime. Considering the history of Royal Mail is so steeped in ex military men it surprises me that so many of the work force now can’t stand up for themselves. The Salvation Army would probably be too much stress for them.
