Mine were ok. One was annoyed because one of the new starters had left his trolley in a street over night with mail still in it. Amazed it was still there today…

And two vans had issues…

As for the parliamentary thing I didn’t hear much apart from the same as the last meeting.

Yea, I had every house today pretty much. Didn’t do the absorption that’s been put on from the collapsed walk/revision.

Got back and said ‘I’ve managed the packets but not the mail’.

‘Well, we don’t prioritise parcels’ was the answer

I think our managers have now realised they have been backing the wrong horse and they seem to have softened. However their area manager continues to bully them with unrealistic demands and yes I do actually feel sorry for them

I am not sure what it's like in other offices right now, based on what Dave Ward has said many offices must feel like they are being stamped on if their rep has been trumped up with some charge and is banished from the office.


Our office hasn't has any issues like this, no hammer has come down hard on us yet. Possibly because we are so understaffed that the managers don't need to demoralise us as they need us.


Might even be a possibility we don't even have to make any changes at our office if Dave Ward manages to get Royal Mail to stop executive action by his deadline of Monday. Seems unlikely - my feeling is it's likely some new strike dates will be announced early next week.

Business as usual for my COM. He made sure that all of the tracked from the 2 deliveries that failed today were taken out on ghost overtime, but not ordinary packets or letters. One of these deliveries has failed for 3 consecutive days, something that simply doesn't happen according to Rickey McCauley's testimony under oath.

Well at least Thompson has been kicked out of the negotiations- six months too late.We now have Dave and Andy,Brendon from the TUC, some bod from ACAS and two non executive members of the RM board. Three weeks is the length of time given to strike a deal, get on with it FFS, then we can get on with our lives. I won’t hold my breath though.

No change today either. They took out 20 walks and made the frames massive because we have no intention of prepping or delivering letters 6 days a week. The lighter the letter traffic is, the less likely that those letters will go out. I pick my own mail up because my road went out on Monday and hasn't since.

Nobody is working days off and overtime is zero.

Same as usual agency guys unable to complete walks yet alone lapsing so they were told to finish tracked, same on failing walks overtime offered to just don tracked as priority and letters if you finish tracked.People cutting off every where and manger looks fed up as usual

He basically said to the commitee, wasn't me guv, it was those idiots I trust to manage offices in the right way.

If they don't learn from that, then they are more stupid than I thought they were.
