The Government can't afford to borrow much at higher rates.yellowbelly wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 17:06Same way as it's always been done, since King William III's time:

Inflation is here for the long haul, so watch your purchasing power diminish rapidly over the coming years.

What would you suggest we do with people unable or unwilling to work? Chain gangs? Euthanising the disabled? Answer that and I’ll continue to engage with you.milly wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 15:26Civil Service and Government workers also cost the Tax payer a fortune.LouBarlow wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 15:12No, neither does avoiding the question. And unlike ghouls like yourself, I would rather people not working are able to afford to feed themselves and their family, or heat their homes, so I care less about the few extra £s a week they are receiving, and far f***ing more about the billions wasted by this corrupt government you support.milly wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 09:45I didn't say it was lavish, just preferable to working.LouBarlow wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 09:26As I said, if it is as lavish a lifestyle as you seem to think, fill your boots.milly wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 08:57LouBarlow wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 07:26What have the unemployed got to do with us? That is not acceptable.
The unemployed got a 10.1% rise.
I think they can go further.
The Unemployed are funded by us the Taxpayer who in turn are receiving lower payrises than the unemployed.
Also the Workers are going to pay more tax to pay for the unemployed as our Tax allowance is frozen until 2028.
This is economic madness, no wonder they can't get people off benefits.
Is it viable to give the unemployed/benefit recipients higher percentage rises than people who work?
I look forward to your reply.
How much of your tax money is going on MP wage increases this year? I can’t wait for your reply.
Abuse does nothing to fortify your argument either.
I will ask again how does an economy that consumes more wealth than it creates continue to pay these non productive people?
It's easier getting a straight answer from Simon Thompson than it is from you.

I was thinking more of making work pay, maybe by raising the Income Tax allowance to £20000.
I'm sure you are aware that the Lefty Dystopia of Canada has brought in euthanasia and is thinking of rolling it out for children.

And the lefty dystopia that is Canada has banned quoting the previous 23 posts (which are totally irrelevant to the point you are making.)
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Dave Ward should be focusing on halting that revision activity before moving forward in any negotiation, it's a far bigger issue than some members being conducted during strike action, the ad hoc revisions are completely destroying the offices nationwide!
Massive mental health issues being ignored.

Re: Strike dates?
It's all good and well that these fools at the top of Royal Mail management want to make changes to help the business thrive...
but at the same time they are bringing in change that will make Royal Mail continue to fail the USO as well as destroy employees jobs...
Thompson with a big grin on his face the other day making the changes needed sound simple, fair and like a field of rainbows and butterflies, when the reality is he's bringing in owner drivers and is trying to make us all quit by pushing us as far as he can with fear and harassment.
Is Keith Williams going to see sense!!!

I've been thinking that as well he seems to be obsessed with his reps.POSTPERSON50 wrote: ↑24 Feb 2023, 15:09Dave Ward should be focusing on halting that revision activity before moving forward in any negotiation, it's a far bigger issue than some members being conducted during strike action, the ad hoc revisions are completely destroying the offices nationwide!

Re: Strike dates?
Reps are the only means of communication to the union and a union is nothing without members so think on. It is not a nice job being a rep you try it and see. As to the previous post we should have an amnesty on all revisions and executive actions in the workplace and the dismissals of all people reps or members or workers!richietns wrote: ↑24 Feb 2023, 17:11I've been thinking that as well he seems to be obsessed with his reps.POSTPERSON50 wrote: ↑24 Feb 2023, 15:09Dave Ward should be focusing on halting that revision activity before moving forward in any negotiation, it's a far bigger issue than some members being conducted during strike action, the ad hoc revisions are completely destroying the offices nationwide!

Re: Strike dates?
I know what being a rep is about, like postperson50 said he is focusing on procedure where reps and staff have allegedly disrupted or shouted scab or whatever thats a process,I just dont think it shouldn't be always the headline speech when 99.9% of the workforce aren't involved, surely you get my gist, the revisions are doubling peoples rounds as we speak and he barely mentions it its just off balance, ovcourse I don't wish any one to be dissmised rep or plain old staff.k979aaa wrote: ↑24 Feb 2023, 23:32Reps are the only means of communication to the union and a union is nothing without members so think on.
