This whole Select Committee grilling is a distraction... It does a good job exposing the company and management but does very little for our dispute.
Jeez, so much time talking about PDA and prioritising parcels over letters... Who wants to be bringing back parcels? Or doubling up on parcels the next day. Some are even bringing lack of overtime into the reasons why parcels are prioritised - not my experience...
Since the Pandemic many have realised and accepted that they can do without 6 days letters...
This whole Select Committee grilling is a distraction... It does a good job exposing the company and management but does very little for our dispute.

Royal Mail will be switching over to as system shortly where packets will be given 3 attempts.Where is the space in the office to hold these?

97% of the workforce is perm according to the CEO last time.But this time 8% of the workforce are agency.

I have better things to do with my life than watch a millionaire squirm.
Iv said before that I go to work because I want to. The changes don’t bother me and if the job became so unworkable I would leave. I’d find something more suited to me. I’m not part of the union so don’t have to listen to their strike talk.

You state the changes don't bother you? All of RMs proposed changes haven't been fully rolled out yet!
You also state that you don't have to listen to strike talk, but will you be listening when the union finally reaches an agreement to yours & unionised employees benefit?

Workload is fine, i don’t mind working to my time or even going slightly over. When it interferes with my own personal life I will consider looking at other jobs.
And I don’t listen to the union. I just go to work. If it wasn’t for the union I would have had a 7% pay rise months ago. But you voted against it.

One thing which was confirmed in parliament yesterday, Chairman Keith Williams is 100% behind Thompson. The abhorrent behaviour of all Royal Mail senior management is a collective effort.

This pantomime has very little to do with our dispute?
PDA actuals - non existent topic unless in some offices or with certain people.
Prioritising parcels and premium products - of course, why not?
Sickness procedure - one of the best for a private company... Darren accepted a quickly moved on...
USO - we are a private company and the USO will eventually change or the nonsense from politicians and the Union carries on; the company will be split - who will buy such a croc and will the government give us a 7% pay rise and employ 2 people for each job to cover absence and poor productivity?
What is wrong with having performance standards and having fair workload for all?
We want better pay than the rest, we have to change and help company become more profitable for us and shareholders...

How many MPs in the committee? Only 5 spoke with the chairman taking most of the time...

f the board much? Not t challenged on shareholders payout or bonuses for top management...
He spoke with a stutter but he was clear in saying that the financial situation is bad and he had met the CWU to discuss that - not necessarily the dispute... So they are all at one with Simon.
He mentioned the level of sickness absence, employee survey (distraction but hey ho) and the USO...
The MP with glasses was a curious one! He is almost agreeing that RM is hampered by the USO but went to muddy the waters by saying that perhaps the company should stop trying to grow the parcel business or make the changes proposed all at once but the CHair of the board had already mentioned the declining letters... Is he suggesting they concentrate on letters and or separate the parcel from letters? I don't understand his angle but at least different from the other 3 - and they were all sat together.
This show is going nowhere - people need to move on; it will not help our dispute, even if Simon loses his job. You will still have people like Ricky and others with the same mindset
