Re: new afternoon parcel duties
They won't be marked up as large, they'll just be dispatched to the DOs on yorks rather than in sleevesclaystones wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023, 18:23with the new revisions do the large shoebox size parcels come marked up as large parcel or do we sort the large ones to one side ready for the afternoon parcel drivers they were supposed to be already marked up with a 3 or 4 on them

Re: new afternoon parcel duties
What's format 3 and 4 do the sizes correspond to royal mail parcel sizing ? I.e medium/large, "shoebox" size would be classed as a small parcel under 45×35x16mm so is a small parcel a 2.

Re: new afternoon parcel duties
So it's going to go back to the cycle pre van-share days, when any shoe box+ sized parcels would be placed on a york for the parcel drivers to deliver

Re: new afternoon parcel duties
We’ve got 10 HCT duties in my office and they struggle to the get the large parcels covered for them. No way will the cover over 90 walks.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 19:29Based on past forum posts I'd give it three months tops before they go back to the walks

Can’t see them lasting either.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 19:29Based on past forum posts I'd give it three months tops before they go back to the walks
We already deliver parcels + letters in the most efficient way possible. If the new parcel jobs last longer than three months there would need to be a sudden mahoosive increase in parcels because at the moment, the customers seem to be completely oblivious to needing this extra parcel service.
’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’
