These Labour politicians are so biased and so stuck up the Union's backside. They wouldn't be able to run a cottage industry with their approach...
Operational reality from a very large company dictates that there will be rogue incidents and managers.
Why they are not pushing back the nonsense about the USO, I do not understand. The supporting casts did Simon a big favour - it stops him being bullied and allows others to have an input. Yes, he was still being economical with the truth: premium products have to be prioritised and who wants to be bringing large parcels back to be delivered the next day.
Sickness absence is an issue not just pandemic and/or strikes - Keith Williams was the first to highlight that issue and Simon later came with his anecdote.

Total and utter lies about prioritising tracked parcels.
They 100% prioritise Tracked parcels!!!!!!!
If you bring any tracked parcels, even small ones, even letter sized tracked..... management will make sure someone takes them back out and delivers them, whereas with letters - they are far far far less likely to try to get someone to deliver them.
I understand them wanting to clear parcels due to size, but as I say above - they will clear small tracked parcels and even tracked letters.
The reason for prioritising must be because parcels are more important to Royal Mail, they need to provide a very good service for parcels so the customer, both sender and receiver, continue using Royal Mail. With letters, the customer is much less likely to know if their letter arrived late or not and there are no other companies that deliver letters - so there is no risk that customers move their custom away.
Also, apparently managers get bonuses based on tracked delivery performance.
