To be fair, in my time there have been a few that started out as posties. They were either part-time or spent a very short time as posties and were runners from the start, or they were seemingly OK people who completely changed as soon as they put a shirt and tie on.

They may or may not have been crap as managers but at least they would have had an understanding on how things work
