What are managers doing when they walk around the office at the end of the day with a pen and paper in hand looking at each frame?

Anyone noticed this? often when I come back from my round I see them doing this...

I have assumed it's them ticking off which rounds have been cleared? if not, what are they doing?

The answer is no I haven't seen my manager doing this at the end of my shift as they went home hours ago

ok - it is what I thought it was. I was curious....

As they always say "tell us if you bring something back"..... yet they go round at the end of the day checking what's come back anyway.

They are supposedly checking the frames to see if anything has come back that somebody hasn’t told them they are bringing back. Most of the bosses at ours will do it 1st thing the next morning as they have disappeared too early to do it on the actual day.
