LOOK OUT
Revisions are coming our way and I feel it's like an avalanche heading towards us. CWU Are using a sheet of cardboard to stop it flowing towards us and you know it ain't stopping anything in it's path. Yes vote won't stop anything but fingers crossed it will slow the avalanche down.
Keep Faith is the word I'm trying honestly but we'll need bigger spades to dig our selves out of the mess that's heading our way.

Re: LOOK OUT
Assuming a yes vote tomorrow that still means the first IA date won't be before 2nd March. I wonder whether the exec have already agreed dates on the assumption of a good result?notts1862 wrote: ↑15 Feb 2023, 14:27Revisions are coming our way and I feel it's like an avalanche heading towards us. Re: LOOK OUT
So if the result is a YES. Now what? I fear the union are heading towards a road block and royal mail are just rolling everything out by exec.
So many of my fellow colleagues that have been in the business for 10, 20 or even 30 years are starting to leave because the job is being ripped up and have found better jobs that don't carry the arguments day in day out about can you manage lapsing, don't come back to early, remember to do this remember to do that. Walking on egg shells comes to mind with this job.
Even if we do strike throughout the whole year, we need to strike hard and none of these one day strikes here and there.

Re: LOOK OUT
voting yes will get you a 9% backdated pay rise, voting no you'll probably be stuck with the 2% u already got.

Re: LOOK OUT
Out of interest....what does a revision in a mail centre look like? I mean in a D.O. they will carve up a duty and divide the streets out to other duties...but what happens in a mail centre. do they give you extra sorting? Extra bags to empty, extra meter bags to sort...push more yorks around? What does a revision in a Mail Centre actually involve?

Re: LOOK OUT
A 9% backdated pay rise is still not acceptable Norris.

Re: LOOK OUT
We are at the start of yet another revision. Loads of walks lapsed and divided out between us today. Went at same pace my partner and I always go. Took our full break, refused overtime and came back on time bringing most of it back. Job done.

Re: LOOK OUT
Revision in at our place total disaster took all big parcels off shared vans, gave every one a couple more loops to take :result everyone is bringing back letters every day and loads of agency doing all the big parcels in the afternoon and bringing them back as they can’t finish

Used to love the Cannon & Ball comic strip. It was so daft, I used to find it hilarious
“Shorts,in this weather?!”
“If they’re bills I don’t want ‘em!”
“What’s she been ordering now?”

Re: LOOK OUT
You won’t be getting a 9% backdated pay rise. You are deluded if you think otherwise.
