Its amazing how many managers are embracing this new toxic environment with such enthusiasm .

Because as said earlier, managers are being told to do as instructed or they are out on their ear, and bear in mind, how many RM calibre managers could go elsewhere and earn 40 odd grand?

From what i have read on other posts on here some of the managers are going out of their way to be bullying snidey bastards,not sure if they are being told to be like that or its just in their nature thinking they have a green light to behave the way they want.

My old contract with my previous employer stated 40 hours per week plus overtime on an as and when required basis with 12 hours notice.
No reason why RM cant rewrite ours with the same terms as that then do a sign it or leave ala ASDA type thing.

I've had contracts that stated the same thing. It's become standard practice in many companies, particularly non-unionised ones,to include an unpaid overtime clause. I've never worked overtime though, even when asked, and even when everybody else was doing it. The only company that tried to enforce it, I left. I will do the same with RM.

We had this brief a week or 2 back and like nothings really changed. Just tell manager if you think you going cut off (we were advised to have a witness) and then say you can't stay out give/don't give reason and forget about it.
