Our manager took us in a huddle today to inform us how the banking of annualised will work, you will be told daily depending on mail traffic what time you will be expected back to the office it should be up & running towards the end of April :thumbdown
That will be mental if (as it should be) it’s walk specific. So they’re going to calculate Mail/oversize/parcels/D2Ds for each walk everyday?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What if, and I know this is hard to imagine, but what if they’re wrong about what time to expect us back? Are you supposed to work over for free, cut off, or expect to be shot upon return to the office?

They have all that lovely previous PDA data as a point of reference you cannot argue against.

Great. So because I make sure I finish on time every day, they will be telling me to be back on time.

All those coming in early, not taking breaks or using trollies, calling people lazy or slow are to blame, nobody else. You were warned, (Not personally) but still cut the job up. This is the result.

Its simple if we win the ballot we have got to walk out and stay out and bring the company to a halt or at least have 3 or 4 days in a row,we will not reign these toerags back in by having 2 days here 2 days there,if you dont like the changes you either strike and hopefully bring us back from the brink or leave.

It’s these people who are ruining it more than strike breakers in my opinion.
No company run by shareholders with the data provided by the PDA is going to keep things how they are when they can see people finishing early or even on time but without a break (or coming in early).

True but still a lot of offices have/are run on ghosting so no doubt that won't be happening once annualised hours kicks in ;liar

I think it will more just be a case of - do as much as you can today until such and such a time, then cut off. We wont pay you anymore if you go over, sonits up to you if you (for some bizarre reason) wish to work over your time for no pay.

Then come winter and the busiest period, they will then be able to say - look, you all gained X amount of hours between the months of Y and Z, so now you must work over your time by this amount of hours for the next however many weeks/months.

Annualised hours. Seriously .

Lol, great way to motivate a workforce and get the best out of them.

Now lets look at it a different way..

Worklife balance.

Motivated workforce.

First time delivery linked to bonus.

Company profits linked to bonus.

Hmm ...that will do for now.

Any other suggestions?

Sadly if not we either put up with it or leave ,our union and what they do next is our only hope for them and us,if there is ever a time to stand up and fight its now if you can't afford to strike or dont want to work under an Evri style regime its now time to leave.
