Cash balance?

Iv had 2 payments which totalled about £27,000
Rang pension they said Iv got £9,000 in cash balance left,which they will write too me in 8 weeks
Will I pay tax on the £9000 cash balance Iv asked several people get different answers?

I had to wait 8 wks too got around 4 wks to go now. As far as I'm aware you can take 25% of it to tax free and the rest will be taxable in most cases 20%.

I am also waiting, just passed the 8 week point expecting an update anytime in the next 2 weeks about surplus AVC and cash balance. Have you guys been getting the pension supplement payments as I have not received any to date.

Iv just turned 55...Jan, iv had my dbcbs lump sum....and my rmpp lump sum...not had the smaller monthly pension payment,
Rmsps have been taking an age...just waiting on letter to send the proof of address, why, I don't know, as other rmpp pension has paid out... unreal

No don't get the pension supplement yet unfortunately haven't left but working on it lol
