What it is that the legislation in this land is weighted to those with more money and power than you I or any union. The fact is why would you invite an injunction by the court just for a one day strike? And that injunction could affect the new ballot because we could not serve any notice as we as a union would be breaking the law of the land. Not that is a just and fair law but is open to legal interpretation by some old boys from the school days!

Well the turnout last time was 75.6% so it could fall below the threshold of 70% so get voting and ask others to do so if you can!

The ballot result would still be valid, however, I completely agree with you. I think a low turn out is the worst case scenario RM are hoping for. They will certainly be taking advantage of that and it will totally divide the workforce. It would be catastrophic.

That is RM's strategy divide and conquer us all this is why we need to use the only thing we all get is our vote.

Any employee who thinks that they will be better served by voting no and siding with management, would have to be seriously deluded.
Royal Mail is not an employer you can trust anymore. Its actually dangerous coming into work now with all the extreme disciplinary action being handed out for minor actions.

It is a 50% turnout needed

Well sitting on the fence is not an option vote or accept the pittance you get given and don't come running to the union if they change your start times or make you do 48 hour weeks or more. Because there will not be a union it is each and everyone of us all that beholds the unity the strength the might for the fight we must do to overcome the forces of free market capitalism in all it's forms!
