Scan to core route.

Post by postiewhite »

Seriously what is this about? We were introduced to it yesterday morning 20 minutes before the packets were ready for us to scan. The managers don't even know what's it about yet.

Do I scan tracked for the whole route or just my packets I will be delivering? If I'm only supposed to have my tracked on there and not my partners tracked then it's a rubbish system because we share oversized on the round (if one gets back to the van first and there is an oversized nearby)

I'm on a shared van dly, we started this on Fri with the best part of f*ck all training. We scan the pkts for our own delivery then deliver them however they come up when we are out. Nobody has told us any different, not than any of the gaffers have got any f*cking idea what is going on anyway.

You are scanning them as ready for delivery via Indoor. So as long as SOMEONE between the two of you scans the tracked, then they will be showing on the system and the customer will know they are out for delivery.

It doesn’t matter who actually delivers the tracked and then scans them as delivered.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
