Royal Mail hand back policy
Hi has anybody here got the official Royal Mail policy for handing back and cutting off of mail. A friend of mine has been sent home as they said they couldnt complete delivery and would need some work taken off them. They tried to follow the the hand back process and were told if they couldn’t complete they could either move to another duty they didn’t know or go home on an unpaid sickness absence. What is Royal Mails official policy please?

See Cutting off procedure 5 threads down, it's just more bullying madness. I hope your colleague didn't go home sickshaunc1892 wrote: ↑04 Feb 2023, 10:08Hi has anybody here got the official Royal Mail policy for handing back and cutting off of mail. Heard it all now, go off sick if given too much work, what symptoms? sudden unexplained loss of super hero powers or what, what sort of tosser is your manager.

Line managers are such a waste of money. They should get paid less than posties. The posties go out and put the physical work in. All the line manager does is ask you to take double mail and then hand you some lapsing then go off to grab a coffee and a cake.
They try to make you work until you collapse whilst they spend most of their time twiddling their thumbs. They could help and sort but they stand there and watch.

Once we’ve left the office they’ve got around four hours of office time to fill. I don’t think you appreciate how terribly hard that isnorris9 wrote: ↑04 Feb 2023, 17:06Line managers are such a waste of money. They should get paid less than posties. I don’t understand, if they refused to complete the delivery due to time restraints and was offered another duty, the other duty would be easier? If not the Doms having the same conversation 5 minutes later?

Re: Royal Mail hand back policy
No not really, the reason for changing duty is the usual bullying tactics, they threaten to take you off your own duty just to be a twat knowing you don't want to do that, the alternative duty won't be any better or easier it's just a threat to intimidate.Sbutts8182 wrote: ↑04 Feb 2023, 17:16I don’t understand, if they refused to complete the delivery due to time restraints and was offered another duty, the other duty would be easier?
