For the past 6 months we have been bombarded with the “losing £1m a DAY” line so in the interest of being open and honest can we see a break down of costs for the following:

1. Making managers redundant on 2 years full pay.
2. Unnecessary hire vehicles
3. New uniform
4. External advisers
5. Overtime linked to poor revisions
6. Agency staffing
7. All management/directors/board members bonuses
8. Energy costs vs previous years
9. Fuel costs vs previous years
10. Building maintenance costs vs previous years
11. 4000 new electric vehicles

The hire vans and electric vehicles is a joke. Might as well just throw money out the window.
The agency staff was crazy as well. In my office we had three regular agency staff who did nothing except take out maybe 6-10 LATs and got paid for 6 hours. Rest of the time they just stood around like they were waiting for a bus.

I heard from a reliable source that paying off a handful of senior managers in the sector this year ran to around £700k. The money clearly exists. Well, existed.

I believe in the company accounts paying off the managers was listed as a one off cost of £80 million. Would need to double check but that figure rings a bell.

Correction it was only £70 million

Surely the electric vehicles are part of some clever accounting tax write off or something because it is laughable to think they could be a near future reality for the fleet. The cost of charging infrastructure alone is hilarious.

They can also deduct the amount saved in millions on strike days.

and take into consideration the wages they save from understaffing us. I'd take a guess that across the country we are 30% understaffed.

Found the profit figures somewhere from 2013 - 2023 a staggering amount, averaging say £300 million every year. Said it cost £147 million to run van fleet for one year, poor management at very least. Blame the clowns who sold us off as we've just had a raft of vultures/leeches in charge ever since,bleeding RM dry. Leighton Back Greene Crozier etc So many leaders in just 10 years

Also need to add to that cost enquiry list, the cost of delivering Tracked on a Sunday.

If they can show that Sunday deliveries have brought in a raft of new customers who are more than paying for the costs entailed then fair enough.

7.5 hours x £13 = £97.50
Times by 100k = £9.75 million
Time by 18 days £175.5 million

Plus fuel cost savings. Makes you wonder where the money has gone.

So by stating that the strikes have cost them £200m, are they saying that they spent the £175.5m cost saving on wages, plus another £200m on agency staff etc.?? £375.5m?

Are they that incompetent?
