DO's have been underfunded for years.
Ours looks like something from the eighties.
Our "rest room" is full of old white boards of failed revisions.
An old sofa that looks like the COM rescued from a tip.
Dryers that don't work.
15 year old pink combis.
No trolleys.
Want a delivery pouch? Forget it.
Fittings with half the fillets missing.
Streets drawn in with bits of paper sellotaped on wherever you can fit them because of all the new builds.
The place is a s**t hole.
It's honestly embarrassing how bad it looks.
Why would RM suddenly invest in that type of technology when they're openly neglecting letters so the government takes them back?
This company is a joke that isn't funny any more.

Add to that list zero spare batteries for their precious PDAs and yep, totally unfunny joke right now.Dexydog wrote: ↑27 Jan 2023, 20:20DO's have been underfunded for years.

’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’

This f@#$ing shite was agreed by the CWU with an LTB 162/22 on 6th April 2022. 6 month trial at Cranleigh,,18 walks a mixture of shared van, singles and HCT. The LTB reads as utter bollox,,,if your a dedicated parcel driver,,,,then fine,,your using s2cr already,,,but we are postman,,guess what,,we deliver letters, and flats, and households, and normal packets
..
I'm not driving around like a f#$@ing clown going to this loop, then this one, then this one,, besides I deliver everything,,,apart from the odd special
. Thanks union for making the job even harder

Will be great if this comes in. Just drive round delivering all the tracked first then go back round with just bundles and a few untracked in the time you have left. Not sure how they think this will work out for them.

I was sent to a different office before Covid and that’s exactly how the person I worked with did it. We drove round delivering the tracked as if they were specials and then delivered the mail. We finished over time every day. It was mad.kazardaimenu wrote: ↑29 Jan 2023, 18:09Will be great if this comes in. It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Do RM plan on creating duties in DOs that are literally just delivering SDs and Tracked? This would suggest that they are considering it

This new process seems to go against the current cost cutting of removing parcel duties and putting oversized back on to the walks.

We’ve been told, as long as it gets scanned on the doorstep, it don’t really matter if you miss a few, so we just scan the first ten, busy days we don’t bother.

I'm a little confused. I work a van share. When I scan the tracked using this process, do I scan them all using a single PDA or use the relevant PDA for each loop (my PDA for my loops across both deliveries etc.)? When we finished today, despite delivering everything, we had outstanding items on both PDA's.

From the FAQ's on the briefing I saw, this is one of the issues that they hope to iron out. We've been told that although the processpoolcued wrote: ↑30 Jan 2023, 16:20I'm a little confused. has gone live, it's in a 'proving' stage with issues to be raised to management. As long as one of you scanned the item 'to route' and
one of you scanned it at the doorstep it's fine.
