What aquaduct?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Our union is so bad, I am seriously considering leaving them and joining the workers union, it's cheaper they offer the same job protections
Go away you clown
So hes a clown for having an opinion you don't like.
I don't like or dislike the opinion. It's just a clown opnion.

The workers union provide "the same job protections"? As the CWU? To postal workers? :cuppa
I have been at royal mail long enough to know that the union will talk tough but at the end will give royal mail everything they want. The union leadership are weak. Maybe not all of it this time, but over the next few agreements royal mail will make all the changes they want. Our jobs and working conditions have gotten way worse in the last 10 plus years because the union keep selling us out at every agreement, they dangle a lump sum in front of the members and give royal mail most of the things they want. Again weak useless leadership. Those job protections you talk about keep getting withered away with every agreement, only a clown would think that was a great union allowing that to happen.
What would YOU do Iva?
Something the union would.never dream of, and that would be ask the members what they want to do, give them a list and tell them to rank the main issues to fight for, then make another list on actions to take and again ask them to rank it, then do what the.majority members decide. I don't need 130 000 a year to do it either. I mean the nerve of Dave Ward telling us to strike while still paying our subs for his over inflated pay. He talks about solidarity, well maybe he should try living on our salary, instead of being paid more than 5 times the average posties salary. At the very least he should have donated 50% of his salary to the strike fund. Just think of that he gets 5 times our salary for doing what? The union needs a massive overhaul to make it more democratic, get rid of the jobs for the boys mentality, and kick out the overpaid sponges that have been stealing a living.
Fair play Iva. I`m all for as much democracy as possible. :thumbup

I don't always agree with likes of Dave Ward, but I have a lot of respect for their overall leadership in this dispute and standing up to bullying and incompetent management from top down.

However, local union officials are not always imo up to the standard they should be and are not that great in communicating or dealing with everyone equally. So, I believe the union is let down by union officials not always to the required standard,
