How many of you plan on leaving?

I left 4th December. Working p/t in Tesco. Warm and dry!

Left last year. Know of 6 others who have since seen sense and done same . Done over 20 years. No longer feel the aches and pains and have more energy and time to do things. Worked for an agency at Xmas for rival company . Was better money . Now secured a job at bank which mixes a rota of WFH and split to some office work. There’s far more options out there . Plenty of jobs going. Just depends what suits . Indeed is a great job site. Upload your CV and go from there . Good luck to those hoping to abandon the well sunk ship!!!

36 years and 55 so no plans to leave immediately, it's too early for my pensions, I plan to stick it out and claim it at 60 then see where I go after that, managers have given up on trying to make me take more than I can manage as I would just dig my heels in, nowadays I'm just marking time til I'm ready and not before for financial reasons, I would rather leave with money than no money, they have to offer me a lot of money to jump and the current VR offer is taking the Mickey so no.

I did once consider training to become an IFA, but never followed up on it and yes, the long term aim has been to be Financially Independent and to Retire Early.

I'm not sure whether I'll be a regular visitor to RMC after I've left the company. In some ways I hope I won't be!

Well I've been here for 43 years and have done pretty much every job in Royal Mail, I could write a book on the changes I have seen in that time, Job started to change for the worse about 20 years ago and has slowly gone down hill from then, I'm 60 next year and will retire come what may

If you're not able financially to leave, I wouldn't take my pension at 55, that's a massive cut to it.

If you're not able financially to leave, I wouldn't take my pension at 55, that's a massive cut to it.

Plus if you're still earning more than £12570 you'll be paying tax on your already much reduced pension.

Can i ask what your hourly rate is? I was shocked to see a Morrisons home delivery job advertised at £9.80/hour!

I would imagine many will say they are leaving and wont. There is a lot of people in my DO who would be unemployable if not for RM lol

That's because they have been brainwashed into thinking rm mail is the best job they can get. Facts are this job is going to get worse and worse and we all know it. The union are incompetent idiots who have no clue what they are doing, they are literally doing sfa to protect us from the onslaught on our working conditions. Truth is there are many better jobs out there or training, you just have to be brave enough to go get them.
