It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Lol thinking back they awarded me a meal except like it was only in the next town 35 mile away. I thought if you can't do something in my town stick it. They said we'll put you down on next year's list somewhere nearer, they never even contacted me. Might give them a ring although 15 yrs too late to see if i can get a McDonald's out of them.

Still celebrating receiving my flimsy tin pin badge for mine. I still feel valued . I remember taking it out the flimsy cardboard box and it snapped 😂😂😂
Got a better reward for 10 years service. A pen and a paperweight . A delightful company to work for. Not

I'd be disappointed to know I can expect bugger all for my upcoming twenty years were I not already completely demotivated. They say you should just be thankful to have a job, but that's not really a given the way things are going.

I think I got a little metal badge thing. Was supposed to get and invite to a dinner somewhere with everyone else that hits a milestone but never heard anything. Not that I am bothered. couldn't think of anything more boring than to be surrounded by a load of posties who I don't even know! :wink:

Guess I got in my award just in time now you are so valued they threaten you with redundancy for being there too long! :hmmmm

Wow,what did I just watch...

My 20yrs is done in August and the award will join my 10yrs service one.
Festering in my locker where it will remain for all eternity until some future archeolgist/alien overlord/cockroach or poor unlucky new start discover them preserved along with a 2009 cwu diary,a poster of gillian anderson,a copy of 2000ad from 1992 and a bag of commando comics an old geezer gave me in 2007 as a xmas tip.
They may see my name and wonder at what I did wrong to serve such a heavy punishment as 20yrs at Royal Mail and ponder did I leave,retire or get carried out in a box

Congrats to OP on surviving all this BS for so long

I got an A4 sized certificate and Consignia swirl pin badge for my 10th and A4 certificate with gift voucher for 20th and a dinner in a hotel, which I look full advantage of.

For my 30th a small card certificate, gift voucher, , RoyalMail silver pin badge and dinner in a nice hotel, nice meal.

I just missed out on the champagne you used to get for your 10th, when they changed the awards, I thought I was hard done by, looking at today offerings, I wonder what I'll get for my 40th.

Take the comics, they may be worth something. Certainly more than the poster or paperweight :chuckle

I got my 20 year service award today. It was a cheap Moonpig style card.

Looks like it’s been designed by a four year old
