Who's obsessing?? I couldnt care less what they do. Yes there's a sick policy but they weren't sick. That's my point!! When people are genuinely sick they should not have to lose pay. I just don't think it's right that because of these people who have abused the system for years that now its made RM try to change it!!

If you are telling the truth that your manager has told you all that you cant self certify anymore then I find it very strange that you are choosing to focus your ire on a few colleagues who you feel play the system rather than what you manager is spouting.

This hasn’t made Royal Mail try to change it because Royal Mail want to change everything that the union have fought hard to achieve for its workers , they will just use an example like yours that happens in every other workplace up and down the country as an excuse for their agenda.

For a generally tight workforce some are bloody quick to judge our colleagues. Reality is none of us realy know what's going on in other peoples lives, healthwise, workwise, mental health wise etc.

AND. So what if people throw the odd sickie? Everyone does it, in every workplace. It's no skin off your back.

20min relaxation break being removed from all MC’s from February too according to another thread.

We currently get 1hrs worth of breaks 40 mins & 20 mins (in an 8hr shift)

They are capitalising on the CWU taking an extended xmas break until next mon to get all this rolled out!
No doubt there will be lots more EA coming this week

I’ve worked over 25 years in delivery and 3 different offices and never seen or heard of such a thing as a relaxation break ?

I'd forgotten about those breaks, when our DO was a 24hr office ,25yr ago we had a 10 minute coffee break mid afternoon or night shift

Absolutely!!! Posties at ours know exactly what time A came in that morning, what time B started prepping, which columns of d2d C is doing that they shouldn't be doing, what time A left the office for delivery, how many times B spoke to the guv that morning etc etc. I've said it before some of you guys have got an illness, it's not normal to be so obsessed with other people!

Was never officially done away with but with sdd agreement everyone was so bothered about finishing early they just didn’t take it
Think I will reintroduce this see what mgmt say
