Damn paywall
At least Rico B didn’t try to trash the service at the alter of parcels.

How embarrassing for ST is this article, basically Rico is now agreeing with DW that he's totally out of his dept, hopefully, somebody is brave enough to post it on Workplace, as Rico seems to be supporting everything the CWU have been saying.

It's this prevalent idea that there is such a skill as "management," that can be taught in a classroom, and is equally applicable across all industries and circumstances, regardless of knowledge, or experience of those areas. It's why the workforce is always expected to pick up the slack, and pick up the tab, for the incompetent know-nothings who populate the middle to upper levels of management in this country.

What was Rico Backs lasting legacy and contribution to the role as CEO of Royal Mail exactly? He tried and failed to get Parcelforce off the books by TUPE, and siphoned off hundreds of thousands of shares for himself. He then got sacked by the board for not delivering on change.
ST may be hell bent on destroying the company, but nobody can question his conviction, he's stuck to his guns and taken a lot of flack.

He's outing this Thompson as a bloke who's made a total f**k-up and made things worse than they were before.Royal Mail used to have one of the most respected brands, a loyal, knowledgable, reliable workforce...and all this is being turned to dust.Thompson will be gone soon....

There will be a pecking order among the types who become CEO of major companies and they will view what each other are doing and who has been over promoted. It’s revealing.

it's not his ''conviction'' that is questionable though. it's his lack of knowledge of running Royal Mail, his integrity towards his empoyees and the business, he's been brought in as a 'hatchet man''. totally f***ing useless at anything else.norm wrote: ↑01 Jan 2023, 03:39What was Rico Backs lasting legacy and contribution to the role as CEO of Royal Mail exactly?
