Not far from there is Rufford Mill ford, scene of many cars getting hydrolocked especially BMWs, now closed off by the council as too many were getting damaged in the ford.

Why is this a P45? He had probably done this before but unfortunately this time the water was too high. We have a place almost identical to this around our's and it's just instinct. Through experience he seemed to be going a little too fast also. Low gear, high revs, slow constant speed when entering the water and maintain that. If you get stuck in mud or snow is that a sacking also?

Again, why is it a P45? There are hundreds of places like this throughout the UK where the vast majority of people have to go through and have no problems. I've done it quite a few times and I'm sure a lot of other Postmen have.
It's a bollocking at the most.

That should have comfortably gone through there. His problem was too much speed and using a combo. The air pick up on them is way too low on the front grill. One of our lads got the push for doing it a second time about ten years ago. Low speed, low revs in a diesel.
