Going Sick During Notice Period

Hi all, hope everyone had a good rest over Xmas. I’m about to hand my notice in but there’s a chance I may be off sick for a few days during the notice period. Does this change or affect anything before I go?

Why not go sick then hand in your notice?
Otherwise there's a real chance you will not be paid.

If you are going sick during your notice period, and stay off until your leave date, inform your manager on your leave date that you would be available for work the following day. Also check what leave date your manager puts on the system. Reason I say that is someone left in our office and went off sick during their notice period and the manager put his leave date down as a week before his actual leave date, and RM Overpayments came chasing him for a weeks pay! Make sure you have a text or written confirmation of your actual leave date ie a resignation letter stating your last day....
