Given there no practical reasons to buy electric vans it's got to come down to cost/Government grants.

Similar to my family member getting a new car, a plug in hybrid will cost him just £50 a month in company car tax compared to my identical non plugin costing him £100+ a month.

Came across this strange YouTube video, by a sort of conspiracy theorist

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m2L9dm85Zm0

Not really into his political views, but it’s worth a view as he explains that RM didn’t buy the vans with Their own money ( dispite Simon saying that they spent the profits on “modernisation of the fleet ) the money comes from a government scheme ( tax payers money )

Not sure if it’s all true, what do you think?
So Royal Mail gets grants for the van? So Simon Thompson/rmg doesn’t have to pay for them now? But when we become owner drivers we will have to cover the cost? Seems like a clever move for Simon, not so good for posties.
Also how green are electric cars? Until electricity is renewable isn’t the electricity coming from burning fossil fuels mosltly? The Cobalt and lithium mining is rarely talked about but there’s a recent podcast by an author on child slavery in Congo. I haven’t heard all of it but some here: https://youtu.be/CIWvk3gJ_7E
