And what happens if callers office staff haven't applied for VR?jessicarabbit wrote: ↑24 Dec 2022, 12:59There will be no back tracking on this one. They have 'created' a new fast track VR process for all caller's office staff. As they are officially doing away with this job it is an easy VR. Again bypassing existing MTSF agreements just getting rid of all the front counter guys unless they want to do deliver possibly even in a different unit if there are no vacancies in there office.
The general public will be getting the shock of their lives come April but by then it will be too late.

Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
Mine is one of the "open for a few hours for PO boxes" ones.
The current expectation is half of the staff are gonna get axed.
The worst part is the public seem to have no clue this is about to happen, if they did I'm pretty sure they would be a lot more vocal.
Once again it seems like RM want to axe one of the things that sets us apart from evri, dpd etc, which is you can deal with a real human to pick up your stuff, drop off your stuff and get, often enough, info on why the f**k your s**t has vanished (Looksl ike it's stuck in this superhub cos strikes, heres customer services number, good f***ing luck").
I fail to understand how nigh-infinite redelivery options will beat picking up your stuff. They claim we've halved traffic, but I can only assume that's pickup alone, as we get almost as many "where's my stuff" and "I want to return this here is a 2d barcode", "here is 40 bags o PPI as we don't want to pay for collection" etc. Not to mention the self absorbing circle of shorter opening times meaning less customers, which means, shockingly, less people pick stuff up... So they cut the hours further? Banks have done this for years and people f***ing hate them.

And royal mail. Who do you think foots the bill for sending the stuff back?Splappy_McSplap wrote: ↑24 Dec 2022, 11:40Also for a lot of people, since they'll be working 9-5 every weekday, their not being in on day 1 means:
1) More completely unnecessary work for us and more time on the street (since we have to try twice more knowing that no one will be there) that we simply do not have
2) Their packet from attempt 1 on day 1, since they won't be in any other day, is going back to the sender
So the posties lose, and the customers lose too.
Great idea.

Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
Can anyone who was in one of the trial offices explain exactly how the new system works.
Where are the redeliveries stored? What scans do they get and by whom? Who deals with the change of address or local colllect?
Cheers.

Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
I noticed Evri had left lot's of their parcels outside peoples doors today in the pouring rain. Some were in a terrible condition, totally drenched.

Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
Standard practice for those who only get paid if delivered. They bent my two parcels in half because they wouldn’t fit in the back of a car. Still given time ,RM will match that standard if they get their way.
