Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
The proposed date was in the letter about closing the CSPs.
I can't find it.
End of January or February?

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
This Is an Ill thought out policy In my opinion. A lot of the public want to pick up their parcels themselves at a time they choose not have to sit in and wait on redeliveries. Our D/O was jam packed with parcels and queued round the corner for most of the opening hours over the last month / 6 weeks… hopefully there will be a backlash once it gets into the public domain. Obviously Royal Mail are keeping it as quiet as possible at the moment , and the CWU should be getting this info out there as widely as possible

Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
Also for a lot of people, since they'll be working 9-5 every weekday, their not being in on day 1 means:
1) More completely unnecessary work for us and more time on the street (since we have to try twice more knowing that no one will be there) that we simply do not have
2) Their packet from attempt 1 on day 1, since they won't be in any other day, is going back to the sender
So the posties lose, and the customers lose too.
Great idea.

Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
There will be no back tracking on this one. They have 'created' a new fast track VR process for all caller's office staff. As they are officially doing away with this job it is an easy VR. Again bypassing existing MTSF agreements just getting rid of all the front counter guys unless they want to do deliver possibly even in a different unit if there are no vacancies in there office.
The general public will be getting the shock of their lives come April but by then it will be too late.

Surely if the caller's office staff are unable to do a delivery due to health issues (which is why they are working in the callers) then they should be offered IHR?

What's worth more money. VR with a £6000 bung on top or IHR?greengiant wrote: ↑24 Dec 2022, 13:22jessicarabbit wrote: ↑24 Dec 2022, 12:59There will be no back tracking on this one. Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
Well VR has a slide scale depends on your service and age the 9 month plus 6k went on 27/11/2022 while IHR is 34 weeks pay and PILLION of between 1 week or 13 weeks pay based on service ie 13 years is 34 + 13 weeks = 47 weeks.I_Take_My_Breaks wrote: ↑24 Dec 2022, 16:26What's worth more money. Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
I know, in one DO, callers office staff have been offered inside job but as a PART TIMER. window opens for 2 hours and for other two hours doing RTS/RLB and sorting missort items.

Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
I think this is about closing the customer service points ie the callers office in the new year. Sorry for all you guys girls and this another nail in the coffin of the workplace we know as RM. as they stick two fingers up to us all.

Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
In the small DOs, no more callers office but medium and large DO will not loose out altogether, windows will open for customers for 2, 3 or 4 hours. (DOM/COM said ).

Re: New "Auto Redelivery System"
What size DO is that, as it doesn't sound like a small one which is the ones being closed?Alanjm75 wrote: ↑24 Dec 2022, 11:20This Is an Ill thought out policy In my opinion.
